New Chassis for
Old
Every Big
Austin Healey is now between 35 and 52 years old. During that time chassis
frames: Rust and Rot (Inside as well as out). Bend & twist from prangs.
Fracture through stress, e.g. engine mounts, and front damper housing. It can
be argued that all restorations should start with a new frame. Certainly from
our experience all but a very few carefully preserved and accident free models
from rust free climates definitely should be.

So Why Not Your Car?
It does mean of course you do not have to pay dearly for your project
car. One like that show opposite can be bought for a fraction of the cost of a
half-decent car. With one of our chassis frames you really have a better
project at less cost. Furthermore with our EXCHANGE BODY service you can
buy a bag of rust and a pile of bits and have a top class car at
the finish for far less than taking a decent car and paying a
fortune for a never ending restoration bill.

Compare Costs for yourself?
Take the cost of the car you
may be looking at and then ask your restorer for a GUARANTEED MAXIMUM price for
the body work. Then ask us for a price for an exchange unit (either inner frame
or complete body with all outer panels) and compare the cost. The cost
difference will be very little for a rust bucket rather than a sound car. And
remember it will be on a brand-new chassis.
Whilst you are about it ask us
for an engine rebuild price. It will be fully guaranteed and we believe for
sure nobody does it better. Or a gearbox/overdrive rebuild. Or your trim or
paint job. You can use us for as little or as much as you like. With a little
knowledge or help from any competent person you can assemble your car for a lot
less than the cost of leaving it with someone else, and them knowing you have
an open cheque book (even if you don`t!).
